Why I picked it up? I read this book more than 10 years ago, so I would imagine I picked it based on my fondness for Anne Tyler. New at the time, I tend to keep a list of recommended books.
Who would I pass it on to? Though I fear it may hit too close to home, I would pass it on to anyone dealing with aging and declining parents. It’s a surreal adventure that takes a toll.
